Learn exactly what to do before & after your appointment to have the best results!
XERF
PRE CARE:
-
Avoid exposure to the sun and tanning (including tanning bed and self-tanners) for at least 2-4 weeks prior to treatment.
-
Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily on areas to be treated.
-
Discontinue use of retinoids (Retin-A, tretinoin), glycolic/salicylic acids, and other exfoliants at least 5-7 days before treatment.
-
Avoid chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or waxing in the treatment area for 1-2 weeks before the session.
-
To maximize the effectiveness of your treatment, make sure to drink plenty of water in the 24–48 hours leading up to your appointment.
-
Inform your provider of any metal implants, pacemakers, or defibrillators.
-
Antiviral medication may be prescribed if you have a history of cold sores.
-
It is recommended that hair-bearing areas within the treatment area are shaved about 1-2 days prior to treatment.
-
No makeup, lotions, deodorant, or oil is allowed on the area to be treated on the day of treatment.
POST CARE:
-
Mild erythema (redness) and edema (swelling) may appear immediately following treatment and can persist for up to 1-3 days.
-
Do not use a cooling or ice pack in the treatment area post treatment.
-
A non-occlusive topical product, such as a gentle moisturizer can be applied to soothe the treated area. Moisturize daily.
-
Increased redness may result from any activity that increases blood flow or body temperature.
-
Avoid using cosmetics containing alcohol for at least 1 week after treatment.
-
To minimize the risk of hyperpigmentation, avoid sun exposure. Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 50+ or higher at all times throughout the treatment series.

All Laser Services
PRE CARE:

Avoid exposure to the sun and tanning (including tanning bed and self-tanners) for at least 4 weeks prior to treatment.

No waxing or tweezing the area to be treated 4-6 weeks prior to treatment.

Use a broad-spectrum SPF 50+ daily on areas to be treated.
-
No photosensitive antibiotics or medications 5-7 days prior to treatment.
-
Area must be clean shaven night before or morning of appointment.
-
No makeup, lotions, deodorant, or oil is allowed on the area to be treated on the day of treatment.
POST CARE:

No excessive raise of Body Temperature 48 Hours Post- AVOID:

No sun exposure or tanning beds 4 weeks post. Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 50 or higher at all times throughout the treatment series.

BE CONSISTANT! - Treatments need to be scheduled as your technician advices.

HydraFacial
PRE CARE:
-
Avoid exposure to the sun and tanning.
-
Use a broad-spectrum SPF 40+ daily on areas to be treated.
-
Avoid harsh skincare products like exfoliants and retinoids 5-7 days prior to treatment.
-
No chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or laser treatments 2 weeks prior to treatment.
-
No Botox or Fillers 2 weeks prior to HydraFacial. (It is best to get a HydraFacial first, then injectables.)
-
If possible, arrive with no makeup, lotions, or oils on the area to be treated.
-
No active acne on the area to be treated.
POST CARE:
-
For longer lasting results, consider take-home products and monthly HydraFacial's.
-
Avoid direct sun exposure and use a minimum of SPF 40+ sunscreen.
-
Aggressive exfoliation and products containing acids should be avoided in the treatment area for 2 weeks post treatment.
-
Avoid the use of Retin-A type products post treatment.
Waxing
PRE CARE:
-
Cleanse the skin day of treatment.
-
Avoid exfoliants and retinoids 5-7 days prior to treatment.
-
No active acne in the area to be treated.
-
​Hair should be grown out as long or longer than a grain of rice.
POST CARE:
-
Keep the area clean and dry.
-
Avoid sun exposure, hot baths, and tight clothes for 24-48 hours.
-
Begin gentle exfoliation 2-3 days later to prevent ingrown hairs.
-
Moisturize daily with gentle products to keep skin hydrated and soothed.
-
Avoid harsh exfoliants and retinoids 5-7 days prior to treatment.​
